The buildings of Prora stretch across five kilometers of Baltic coast on Ruegen Island in Germany. Built by the Third Reich from 1936 to 1939, Prora was meant to be a Baltic Sea holiday resort large enough to house 20,000 guests. It was never completed and used as intended.
